Very moving, very moving comments by the Senate Majority leader, John Thune. It's obvious the deep friendship that they shared. President Trump spoke to Fox News yesterday morning.

We lost a great man. He was a great man. He was a great politician, and he was a kind man. And you know who really lost? Israel, Ukraine, a lot of countries that he really fought for. And they lost somebody who was very special. But the real loser was the United States of America.

There's going to be a lot of discussion about Senator Graham's policy priorities and what happens next on them. For example, he was working very closely with the Trump administration on a major sanctions bill to deal with Russia. So what happens next is a little bit complicated in the short term. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has just named Lindsey Graham's sister, Darlene to be the seat placeholder between now and the end of the year in Senator Graham's office and with his staff, she will carry out his duties to ensure South Carolina has two senators between now and the end of this term. And she will be sworn in on Wednesday. In the meantime, there will now be a new election, a short term primary per South Carolina state law. This is the timeline for replacing Lindsey Graham on the November ballot filing period opens July 21, the second Tuesday after his death. It closes on July 28. There will be a special primary August 11 and a runoff if necessary, August 25. Now, there's already a lot of discussion about who those potential candidates may be, and some of them put, put their names out a little bit too quickly for anyone's comfort after news broke about Senator Graham's passing. Here's from Axios. Inside the room, South Carolina Rep. Russell Frye is a favorite candidate of some Trump insiders who say he has good fundraising potential and a safe Republican seat that won't hurt the GOP's House margin. Frey's colleague Rep. Joe Wilson has also surfaced as a possible candidate. He's the father of South Carolina Attorney General Allen Wilson, the GOP's nominee for governor. One challenge for Joe Wilson is his age. He's actually older than Lindsey Graham was when he just passed away, and so electing him will would likely mean a fairly short term replacement. The intrigue Rep. Nancy Mace, who came in fifth in the GOP gubernatorial primary, has drawn an exceedingly negative reaction from Trump's political operation by appearing to float her own name on social media to replace Graham the morning his death was announced. Two sources told Axios POTUS wasn't a fan already, but putting herself out as a candidate while everyone was absorbing the news of Lindsay's death was in poor taste even for Mace. There's a lot of reasons the White House has complicated feelings about Nancy Mace. She's had a lot of complex things going on in her personal life that she has elevated into her public life quite a bit to everyone's discomfort. And so I think a lot of White House aides feel like that baggage is unhelpful when there's a lot of other really good candidates. CNN went over a number of those candidates in a round. Going over the polymarket odds about who might win that race, you could see

it right here, the lieutenant governor at a 40% chance in the early stakes, and of course this is still early. Then you got Ralph Norman who's of Congressman 32%, Russell Frye 17%. You got lynch there at 7% and Nancy Mace all the way down here at 4%.

Now, I would just flag those are prediction markets. These are not polls and they largely are based on things like name recognition, the fact that Pamela Yvette did get President Trump's endorsement in the gubernatorial race and the fact that people like Ralph Norman have very high name recognition, things like that. But again, all odds look fairly bad for Nancy Mace. But this will all be decided within the next few weeks to determine who the Republican nominee will be. The November election. One of the things we've talked about is the legacy of Senator Lindsey Graham and the policy priorities that he's leaving behind. One thing that President Trump specifically called out yesterday was for the Senate to pass this landmark cryptocurrency legislation in honor of Senator Graham. In honor of Senator Lindsey Graham, a big supporter, the US Senate should pass the Clarity Act, China and Many other countries would like to take complete and total control of this major financial happening, as well as AI where we are now leading, but where they are fighting hard. Don't let China win on either subject. President Donald J. Trump We've talked before about the Clarity act quite a bit here. It is the baseline rules of the road for cryptocurrency to operate in the United States with some level of regulation and oversight that is really important. If you're a huge crypto skeptic, you should want this bill to pass because the current status quo might be a little bit scary. And if you're somebody who worries about things like illicit finance, money laundering, things like that, this provides new rules of the road and oversight to ensure that can't happen. And also the competitive aspect of this is really important. If the United States doesn't have a clear system for cryptocurrency to operate, places like China will dominate and they will not have the kind of guard rules that we're talking about, which is why President Trump is making this such a focus in the wake of the passing of Senator Graham. And there's a lot of hope that this can be passed within the next few weeks before August recess. Tension with Iran has continued to boil over. As we talked about last week, Iran has continued to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Yesterday, President Trump delivered a very direct warning to Iran.

But we had a deal. What? Nobody knows we had a deal. It was a done deal and then they broke it. They always break it. We've had 10 deals with these people and so we're just going to hit them very hard and we're going to, we're going to keep the straight and will probably run. It will become the guardian of the strait.

Yesterday, President Trump also notified Congress. Trump formally notified Congress of the resumption of military activities against Iran on July 10. Under the war Powers Resolution. Dems say the war is illegal and the President cannot restart the 60 day clock for military action. Along with resuming those military operations, President Trump is also resuming our naval blockade in hopes of driving quick action here. The peace deal and the MoU clearly did not hold up because as President Trump has said numerous times, Iran would never keep their side of the deal. So we will see what this looks like over the next few weeks. But President Trump does not want this to drag into the midterms because of the immediate shock on oil prices and gas prices. Yesterday we talked about Ro Khanna and his Israel misadventures. One thing to know historically about Ro Khanna is. Not very long ago, he positioned himself as a pro Israel Democrat and talked a lot about his complex position of wanting to stand up and act advocate for Israel. In the last few months, as he's really tried to dive into his new identity as a member of the Democrat Socialists of America and a Democrat Socialist of America kingmaker, he's taken a much tougher posture, using all of the most inflammatory rhetoric you've heard from anybody about Israel. The icing on the cake of this was his trip last week into Israel where he appears to have staged a run in within restricted areas around Israel to try and drive more negative conversation about Israel's leadership. Yesterday, he went on Fox News and got taken to task over some of the rhetoric and language he's used to describe this encounter. Congressman, it is disingenuous to call those local security officials random settlers. These are people who operate in the area regularly. Further, sir, I have to point out to you that other members of Congress have visited this area, but with prior coordination. We understand that your team did not do that. But as some have pointed out, the footage seems to debunk their detainment narrative. The most remarkable thing about this footage is that it completely debunks the whole detainment narrative. His body camera shows that nobody was detained. They were simply prevented from entering a closed military area which he had previously been warned he could not enter. But words, whether detained, genocide, or apartheid, have no meaning for these propagandists. Ro Khanna appears to be wanting to squeeze as much juice out of this lemon as he possibly can. He even went as far as comparing his experience to the Jim Crow South.

You have a police force and the IDF that is aligned by extremist settlers. In the same way in Jim Crow, during the segregationist south, police were often aligned with the segregationists.

Now, once again, this feels like a very desperate plea for attention. And it's unfortunate that it's focused on inflaming tensions that already exist with one of America's most important allies. But again, not surprising when you consider, as the Israeli Ambassador to the United States pointed out yesterday, Ro Khan has a very strong vested interest in changing the subject from what he was doing last week, which was standing shoulder to shoulder with Nazi rapist Graham Platner. One thing we talked about quite a bit here is the massive scrutiny being directed to Graham Platner's former consultants, Fight Agency, and people like Morris Katz. Last week, members of the Democrat Socialists of America signed a letter calling on Democrat campaigns to stop working with Katz. This from the Intercept Morris Katz is one of the chief parties responsible for the catastrophic campaign of scandal ridden Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner. Billed as a top advisor to the campaign, Katz helped recruit Platner and supercharged his candidacy candidacy with slick video production, friendly media placements and political connections. And similar to Katz, another member of the Platner consulting team getting a lot of attention. Daniel Moraf from the New York Post. Graham Platner, strategist who recruited disgraced Senate candidate, also an accused sext. You're telling me this guy was up to weird stuff?

I said none of this will or should stop him from becoming a U.S. senator.

So again you've got Morris Katz who tried to cover up Graham Platner's abuse, even offered to pay advisors to be quiet about what they knew about Graham Platner's past, now being called out by the dsa. But you've also got Daniel Moraf, the recruiter who went and found Graham Platner, who we've now found is a multiple time accused sex pest. Now this may mean major fallout for other people fight agency is connected to like Abdul Al Sayed makes me wanna wag my tail when it comes I wanna wail mooo. For our you can't make it up segment today we go to the former congresswoman turned failed gubernatorial candidate turned evening batgirl, Katie Porter. She made a lot of news last week for some of her previous Yelp reviews that got captured by the New York Post. California's top politicians secret Yelp reviews revealed and Katie Porter's are as unhinged as ever. Now I need to give a bit of a disclaimer here because I read through these and some of them are actually a little bit fair. As somebody who has left a few Yelp reviews, I'm not like a major Yelp review, Karen, but I've left a few where I feel like people need to know. This business is horrible. I'd say 99.9 of my reviews are positive, saying this is a great company, this is a great provider, use them. But there was one Katie Porter review that really stuck out and you will understand the irony immediately. Porter wrote in 2017 about Massage Heights in Sherman Oaks. If you want consistent, good service and want to patronize a place that treats employees with respect, I would never recommend this. She wrote. I cannot continue in good conscience to be a patron. Even though it is a very convenient location and a nice facility. Katie Porter is worried about a business not treating staff with respect. This Katie Porter out of my shop. We love a little irony here at the 10 minute drill, just for good measure and just cause it's fun. I also want to highlight a review left by then secretary of State, now Senator Alex Padilla at a barbershop. Jessica, the stylist my son was assigned to, had a very bad attitude, was impatient with my son, who's a pretty easy child. And she clearly does not know how to cut hair. I do not recommend you let Jessica cut your hair or your child's hair. And I hope she gets more training.
