Let's get into it. Keeping it Real with Jillian Michaels. So, obviously, one of the biggest stories in the news this week is the Tyler Robinson preliminary trial. This has been a long time coming, and there is a young man that I have been following. He's a young journalist. His name is Joshua Carr. You've probably heard me talk about him on my show and both on the actual Friends podcast that I do with Dave Rubin and Sage Steele and Dr. Drew Pinsky. And he is just so impressive, so intelligent, so articulate. You must follow him. His name is Joshua Carr, and the reason I'm talking about him right now is because he is boots on the ground at the preliminary trial. Now, I wanted to have an interview with him, but I've been traveling all week. So he was kind enough to send an exclusive report on what's going on on the ground for us from the trial. I have not seen it yet. You're watching it with me for the very first time. So we're gonna jump right in and take a look. This is Joshua Carr.

Hey, Jillian, I know you're on the road right now, but I wanted to send you a little video of what's happening on the ground here in Provo, Utah, my hometown, where I live, where the Tyler Robinson trial is happening. Just so you guys know, I was there on Monday outside of the courthouse. I saw everybody come in. Erica Kirk came in. She came in from the opposite side where the media wasn't, because she didn't want to be really seen by the media. She's been very low key. People from the underground came in. You had Tyler Robinson with a motorcade of 20, 30 cars, I kid you not, come in. You had other people like Donald Trump Jr. Who kind of snuck in underneath. But then you had the media line. This is where I was. I saw everyone there. There were no Candace Owens fans. None of those people decided to show up. I guess it was a little too early in the morning for them. But we saw Charlie Kirk's parents. They wanted to be seen in solidarity with Charlie. We saw the prosecution, we saw the defense team. We saw people like Brandon Tatum, we saw Graham Allen. We saw many people come in in solidarity with Charlie Kirk and with Erica Kirk. And so what's happening right now, just so you guys know, there's only 14 people who are allowed into the court hearing every single day from the public. And so I kid you not, today I am in the court hearing. The reason I was able to get in, and I'm speaking in the future tense, but this is going to be happening to me tonight is I'm going to be going to court at 2am to stand in line so that I can be One of the 14. One of the reasons why it's so important to be in there today is that there was a bombshell amount of evidence that was presented at the end of the hearing today. What it has to do with is Twigs, Lance Twigs, who is the trans lover of Tyler Robinson. Apparently, he was given temporary immunity to do a interview with the prosecution and all but confessed that Tyler Robinson and the defense admitted this. By the way, this isn't my words. This is the defense saying this. He all but admitted that Tyler Robinson did this. And today they deliberated for about three hours, I kid you not, whether or not they would show some of this video to the public. The judge ruled that some of it needed to be redacted, but not all of it. And so it's going to be shown today, Thursday in the court. And I am in there in person to see everyone's reaction. So I'm really excited to see that. Not because this is an easy trial to be a part of, but because I want to see how Tyler Robinson squirms in that court hearing. And I wanted to tell your audience some of the details that have come out because I know this case has gotten really, really convoluted. Candace Owens, Baron Coleman, all of the horrible actors out there have tried to complicate this as much as possible, but the reality is the prosecutors have done an expert job of just laying the foundation of this case and working their way up. So here's a few just key Details that have happened in the trial so far. For those of you who are not psycho enough to sit through all 16 hours of it so far, like I have, I've watched every single minute of it, if you can believe that, because I am just that psycho. But here are some of the key details. There is a. The first witness that was called basically testified that he heard a rifle shot. That he is positive it was a rifle, not a pistol. He saw it hit Charlie. He went up onto the roof where Tyler Robinson was, and there was no bullet casings. But he did see in the gravel that there was marks of someone who was kneeling down and elbows down in a prone position, as if you were firing a gun on someone. That gun was found in the woods with the casing in it. That's very important because we heard from Candace Owens fans from a very long time that there should be a casing on the roof. But if you actually look at the gun, it makes a lot of sense. For a bolt action mouser, which is what shot Charlie Kirk, you have to actually release that and discharge the casing. And if you don't, you can fire the shot in the case and can stay in the gun. It was in the gun when they found it. That was the first day. The second day, Tyler Robinson. We saw footage of Tyler Robinson showing up to UVU on four separate occasions, twice to stake out uvu. One of those times he even went to that wooded area where he would later put the gun. And then on the third time, he shot Charlie. On the fourth time, he actually came back later that night. A lot of that footage we had never seen before. The person who was the witness talking about it had seen tens of hours of footage of Tyler Robinson working around uvu. And it was able to see everything he was doing. He was able to see how on the third go, he was concealing a gun in his pants. All of this was new footage that's never been shown before. Now, fast forward to Wednesday. This is where things got very interesting. Tyler Robinson turned himself in. They took the SBI officer. State Bureau of Investigation. That's what that stands for. They put him on the stand. He was the one that took Tyler Robinson into custody. When Tyler Robinson turned himself in and this got really interesting. He said that Tyler Robinson turned himself in at 9pm that's really important because a lot of conspiracy theorists online said that he turned himself in at 6pm the reason why that's so important is at 7:57pm on September 11, he sent messages confessing to the crime and what conspiracy theorists have said is that he was already in custody, so he could not have sent those messages. Therefore, it must have been the FBI or someone like that who sent those messages. We got testimony today that is not true. He actually came in after those messages were sent. In addition to that, we also heard narratives. This is the last point that I'll focus on, that there could have been another shooter on a different roof that was not Tyler Robinson. We saw testimony today that said that that roof did not. It was impossible to have a line of sight to the tent where Charlie Kirk was. It was impossible to fire a shot. He testified that there was a bullet that was found on top of the roof. It was likely an officer's bullet. It was not a bullet that matched a Mauser gun, the gun that Tyler Robinson used. So these are just some of the very simple aspects of the case so far. It completely refutes all the conspiracy theories and there's much, much more where that came from. But I wanted to give you guys just a summary. But beyond that, I hope you're doing well. Some of these things can be very heavy. But I will say, to make a very timely reference, I would say the biggest loser of this so far has easily been Tyler Robinson. This will be going to trial or he's going to plead guilty this week.

I know you guys are so sick of hearing about Iran. I get it. But this might just be the 40 chess move that we've all been waiting for. So hear me out on this. Just, just, just stay with me for a second. Ceasefires off again. I know we're five months into this and the ceasefires are getting violated and rebuilt like clockwork. And at this point, it's almost comical. And all of us have been screaming into the social media void for the past couple of months. It's like, oh, my God, you can't trust Iran. There's obviously no shot that the President doesn't know that, that his team doesn't know that. But of course, the left and the far right would have us believe that Trump is so desperate because the midterms are around the corner that he's caving to a regime that tortures its own people, calls for death to America, on a hope and a prayer that they won't do it, because he's got to get out of this. Listen, I considered it unquestionably, but I don't buy it. And when you actually tally up the wins and the losses round by round, a really different picture is coming into focus here. And this last move might have just tipped Trump's hat. So ask the obvious question. This is what you need to be thinking about. Why would Iran torch a deal that good? Because the memorandum never actually settled who runs the strait. It only gave Iran 60 days of policing rights, and it looks like Trump played them. So, during the truce that's been established in this last ceasefire, the US and Oman have quietly revived an old abandoned shipping lane along Oman's coast. The Straits. Original main channel before 1979 was this shipping route, but it got shelved for decades after the Iranian revolution. So, ceasefire happens, we went in, we de mined it, we got the UN Shipping authority to bless it, we put our navy on it, and we reopened it to full tanker traffic. And this is a route that Iran can't toll and they can't control. And now ceasefire is still going, but most of the global traffic is already running through this alternative shipping lane, which leaves Iran nothing left to police and nothing left to reclaim. Now, you might be thinking, I don't get it, like, what's the whole point of this? If missiles can still hit ships no matter which lane they're in, what did building the corridor actually get us? Here's the answer. Before that corridor was revived, Iran controlled the shipping lane in three ways. Legally, they were the only party who could grant passage through their sovereign territory. Physically, they owned the infrastructure that the ships had to use. So those are two. But once the US and Oman built a working alternative that didn't need Iran's permissions or their infrastructure, they. The only thing that they had left at their disposal for leverage was force. Actual missiles, actual drones, and actual violence. Which means we didn't build that corridor for a safe passage from Iran, we built the corridor to put them in a corner. Right, so sit back, quietly, lose control forever, or pick up a weapon and prove to the entire world that your monsters by attacking commercial ships in Oman's sovereign territory. And they took the bait and they picked up the weapon. And the second that they did, the great deal that we were all jumping up and down screaming about evaporated along with almost all their international support that they had left. So the moment that Iran chose force, it dragged almost everyone in.

They hit three tankers. Well, those tankers were flying Qatari, Saudi and Liberian flags. Qatar, the country mediating this entire deal. They turned around and they condemned Iran. And they said they're going to hold them fully responsible. And Saudi Arabia did the same, and so did the UAE and Egypt and Jordan. And the UN's own chief, this guy, Secretary General Antonio Guterres, he called the new strikes alarming, and he warned of catastrophic consequences for international peace and security and for the global economy as a whole. The head of the UN Shipping agency called the attacks reckless. And when we struck back, Iran fired on US bases inside Kuwait and Bahrain, both of which condemned the attacks on their own soil. So what started as one country against Iran turned into the Gulf. The UN and the global shipping industry now standing against Iran as well in the space of a single day. So maybe this isn't chaos. Maybe this is the checkmate in slow motion and we're all just watching it unfold in real time. It remains to be seen, but we're gonna be following it. There is a reason that this is happening now. I only have until July 13th, until I am officially the nominee. This was the last week to try to get me off of the ballot, and that's why this is occurring.

If I lived in Maine, I would have, you know, plugged my nose and I would have voted for him anyway. It appears that the people of Maine weren't willing to do that. And of course the left wing's Democrat politicians and pundits have utterly debased themselves backing this guy with nothing to show for it but a toss up race at best. So now the Platner's backed out. Here's what's next. And it's a full blown common situation, guys. There's no new primary. The people who actually voted for Platner don't get a vote on his replacement. And instead Maine's Democratic Party is going to convene a nominating convention that has like, I think a hundred or so insiders and they're the ones that are going to hand pick whoever they decide gets the nomination.

People who've been leading this country off a cliff for the last century. And that was Graham.

Okay, do you want to hear? What's so diabolical about this is that Platner was so sick and so crazy. I was like, he's gotta be dsa. He's gotta be dsa. And I've looked into it numerous times, and they're like, no, Platner is not a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. And I was like, this is very strange. He is just so. Like, he smacks of all the crazies that Mamdani just endorsed. He goes after our vets. I mean, we've seen all the reprehensible things. We've said it over and over and over. But what's so filthy, dirty guys is they buried his connections to the dsa. Because they must have known that the people of Maine would not tolerate it, and they sniffed it out anyway. That's why his numbers were cratering. But this filthy, dirty, weasel scumbag. It was a DSA guy here. Okay? So this is the moment I want to talk about this. This is really important. I was in the car with my wife last night. We're running to pick up dinner, and Platner pulled out.

I get the notification on my phone, and I know we're doing this show today. I know it's going to come up. And I start watching the clip that you. You put up here, Fletch. And my wife is like, oh, God, honey, can you shut that off? And we get in this conversation, and she said, can't you see? Nobody's watching this? Nobody cares about this. Nobody wants to hear about this. And my wife is not dumb, by the way. And I. I've spoken pretty often and pretty regularly about how she confronted me early on in our relationship because she's a traditional conservative, and she was very political, and she followed it all very closely. Long story short, she's like, all of this is just so toxic. Don't you see? Like, our friends aren't following it. They don't want to hear about it when it comes up at dinner. You know, it's just all. It's so toxic. It's so toxic. And it is a theme. And I have a lot of very intelligent, successful friends that don't want to know, and they kind of tolerate my little rants at dinner because, you know, usually it's coming off of a podcast, you know, or an interview, and I'm amped up about it, and they get this, like, this blank stare in their eyes, and their eyes kind of glaze over. And here's what's happening, guys. What's happening is everybody's getting blackpilled. It doesn't matter. They're all the same. It's just so toxic. And they check out. That is so dangerous. It is so dangerous. You cannot. You cannot check out, because that is what they're counting on. They're counting on you checking out, not showing up to vote. And this is how they are slotting in. Absolute lunatics in Seattle, in la, in New York. They're trying it in Maine. And guess what? I promise you, Bernie Sanders has a candidate. Gotta be. I'm guessing he's a socialist. If you are in Maine, you're gonna have to show up. Whether you are a Democrat or you are a Republican, you need to show up. And get on the same page. Otherwise, you are gonna get one of the most radical individuals representing your state, and that individual goes to the Senate and is going to have an impact on the rest of the country. This is not the time to look the other way. This is not the time to hold your nose. This is the time to show up and credit one last thing. Massive kudos to the people of Maine. I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican. This guy's numbers cratered because the people of Maine were not willing to hold their nose whether they were blue or red. We already know people who are Republican were going to support Collins. But big props to the Democrats of Maine that started to pull away from this guy, despite the fact that Trump is this existential threat. It gives me a lot of hope in everyday people, because as these puddits and these politicians vie for power at all costs, the people are better than that, and they're better than you think. God. And you know what else? I've been wanting to also address this for a while, because every time there's a repugnant candidate on the left, they constantly say, like, oh, we have to get behind this. We've got to get behind this. Because Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump is an existential threat. Trump is so gross. Trump is so evil. Donald Trump, in this charge, was convicted falsely.

All right, so I'm going to break down exactly what's going on here for you guys. So the next time you get into a fight with that liberal family member or that liberal friend who tells you that Trump is a convicted felon, and because of that, they feel justified in backing people like Graham Platner and abandoning every norm, every precedent, every instinct, institution. Right? That all becomes suddenly disposable. All right, and the infuriating part here is that they dress it all up as self sacrifice for democracy. It's not. It is a power grab dressed up as a moral necessity. And you can see why Tim is so frustrated with this guy, because he's either lying, which is gross and reprehensible, or he's stupid and he didn't do his homework while espousing this vitriol with which is equally alarming. And the reality is that almost nobody who is spewing this stupidity can tell you what Trump was actually convicted of. And they just repeat the talking point again and again and again. That confirms their confirmation bias. He is a convicted criminal 34 times over, like he's Al Capone. He's not. And it isn't 34 crimes. It's one transaction that the prosecution sliced into 34 pieces by accounting software. All right, so I'm going to explain it from the top here. Trump was charged with falsifying business records. So the prosecution's case centered on a 2017 ledger. 2017 ledger entries, all right? Invoices and checks that were cut to Donald Trump's then attorney, Michael Cohen. And the records that categorize these payments as legal expenses were pursuant to a retainer agreement. So what I'm saying is that Trump paid Michael Cohen and the ledger for these payments showed it as a legal retainer. Now, the prosecution proved that there wasn't a retainer agreement and that the purpose of the payments were reimbursements to Michael Cohen of about $130,000 for payments made to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. Now, we all know at this point, Stormy Daniels is an adult film star that the president appears to have had an affair with. We don't know what the $130,000 was for. It could have been to buy her a car. It could have been hush money. We don't actually know. That is not proven. And to be honest, I don't care. It was Trump's money. It was spent on a personal matter. He didn't use campaign funds to do it. He didn't turn it into a tax write off. And in my opinion, it's between the president and his wife. But regardless, under New York law, that's considered falsifying business records. It is a misdemeanor. Full stop. So how do we get to 34 felonies and a courtroom circus off of a misdemeanor? Well, in order to turn a misdemeanor into a felony in New York, the prosecutors have to prove that you falsified these business records to conceal an underlying primary crime. And that is what Tim Pool is humiliating this guy over. The prosecution didn't even say what that crime was when they indicted Trump. Now, eventually, they landed on a New York election law, and it was conspiracy to promote an election by unlawful means. So here was their theory, right? Trump hid this payment of $130,000 by laundering it through Cohen to keep the voters from learning something that could have hurt him before the election. And to satisfy the unlawful means charge, they pointed to an alleged federal campaign finance violation. So they claimed that the payment to Stormy Daniels. You cannot make this up. Should have been reported as a campaign expense, and it wasn't. Can you imagine if he had, by the way, paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 and claimed that it was a campaign expense? So that's the crime right there. And here's the timeline. So the bookkeeping happened in 2017. Trump was not indicted until March of 2023, which is six years later. Now, New York statute of limitations on this, it's two years. So the case should have been dead by 2019. So prosecutors now have to find a way to pause the clock. So first, they invoked a New York law that pauses the clock when a defendant is not physically in the state. And it's a rule that's been written for fugitives who are fleeing prosecution. Now, obviously, Trump was not fleeing anyone because he was living in D.C. as the president of the United States in plain sight every single day. But it didn't matter because prosecutors argued that the years he spent in office just simply didn't count. So they could pause the clock on that one. But then second, they leaned on a Cuomo executive order that paused deadlines during COVID Now, that executive order was written for civil cases, not criminal ones. But oh, well, they found a way to get around the statute of limitations. And when you stack these things together, they revived a dead misdemeanor and dragged it back from the grave as 34 felony counts. Now, what's the actual math on 34 felonies? It was one payment of $130,000, one reimbursement to a lawyer. But because the accounting system generated a monthly invoice and a monthly check and a monthly ledger entry for that one reimbursement, they made each one a separate charge. 11 invoices, 11 checks, 12 ledger entries equals 34 felony counts out of a single transaction. Because a computer logs things monthly. So if the bookkeeping software had run bi weekly, they would have called Trump a 70 time convicted felon. Now, why would a judge sign off on all of this?

A judge did this. The judge was wrong. Well, a lot of people think that the judge was partisan. And here's his actual record. So this guy's name was, uh, Justice God, Juan Marshon. All right? And Juan Marshon made political donations to Joe Biden's campaign, and he also donated to groups literally entitled Stop Republicans. So you know what his intentions are. Right? And his own daughter ran a political consulting firm that had been paid millions by the Biden and Harris campaigns, including work that she did directly for Harris in 2020. And this guy didn't recuse himself. And then came the gag order where he barred Trump from commenting. Right. Trump was not allowed to talk about this at all. But the witnesses, like Cohen and Stormy Daniels, went on podcasts and TV tours discussing the case in real time. And Trump was held in contempt 10 separate times for violating this gag order. Trump trying to defend himself and get the truth out, which is why so many people arguably don't know it. And then there was the jury instruction. That should worry anybody who cares about due process, regardless of your party, because the jurors had to agree unanimously that Trump falsified records to conceal a crime, but they didn't have to agree on which crime. It could have been a federal campaign finance violation. It could have been a separate falsified record. It could have been a tax violation. So you've got 12 jurors who could each pick a different theory on why Trump was guilty and never have to align on which one and still be able to deliver a unanimous felony conviction. That's unusual, I promise. And it's a genuinely debated legal maneuver. And as I said, it should disturb you no matter who's on trial. And in case you still think that Trump Belongs behind bars. I want you to sit with this for a second, because the hypocrisy here is mind blowing. In 2016, Hillary Clinton's campaign and the DNC funneled over a million dollars. A million through a law firm to bankroll the Steele dossier. This was the unverified report that claimed Putin was blackmailing Trump with a tape of Russian prostitutes urinating on him in a hotel bed that Obama slept in. Yeah, and Clinton's campaign didn't call it what it was on their federal disclosure forms. They buried it under Legal Services and Legal and Compliance Consulting. Years later, the FECE caught them, and they fined the Clinton campaign $8,000 and the DNC $105,000 for disguising the payments. It doesn't stop with her. There was Obama's 2008 campaign, which has its own rap sheet. Nearly 1300 large dollar donations, equaling almost 2 million bucks, blew straight through the legally mandated 48 hour disclosure window. And on top of that, the campaign pocketed over $1.3 million in illegal excessive contributions. And they sat on the money past the deadline to return it. Total damage, a $375,000 fine. That's it. No convictions. No, you know, convicted criminal, none of that. So here's the kicker, right? Bankrolling a Russian collusion hoax, burying nearly $2 million in donor violations. In both cases, the FEC treats it as a paperwork problem, a write off, a fine. As I said, no stacked felony counts, nobody froze, a statute of limitations, nobody perp walked Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama into court on election conspiracy charges. Never happened. And don't even get me started on Mar A Lago.

A New York judge found Trump liable for civil fraud. Civil, not criminal. For allegedly inflating his financial statements. And how did they build that number? By pointing to the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor's valuation of Mar a Lago at $18 million, which is a figure that only exists because the property's deed is restricted as a private club. Meanwhile, by the way, guys, there's a 3,800 square foot condo right now that's currently pending in Miami for almost $14 million. I got the email into my inbox yesterday. So just think, for only $4 million more, we could have bought 617 acres of oceanfront property and added another 60,000 square feet to our home. And the loan that Trump supposedly committed fraud to get, well, it was paid back in full. So no bank lost a dime. But the judge ruled that that didn't matter under New York law. And a New York appeals court just threw out the entire half billion dollar penalty is unconstitutional while still leaving the underlying fraud finding standing. Now, whether or not Trump assaulted E. Jean Carroll is a conversation for another day. I personally don't think that he did. But even if that was true, in what universe would that give way to the logic that two wrongs make a right and we now have effectively a new normal? Like what? What is the logic there? And I can promise you that no one who voted for Trump but believes that he did that. And if you're paying attention to any of this, between the Dossier hoax, the 34 criminal accounts for a misdemeanor that was years past the statute of limitations, or the $18 million fantasy valuation of Mar A Lago, there's a pattern here. And witch hunts, they don't get more believable the more of them that there actually are. There's no moral equivalence between Trump and Platner or any of the other despicable human beings that the DSA is running for office. I'm sorry.

It's hard not to get emotional on clips like that. But I have some happy news from around the world. So to start off, Oregon records five years of zero pesticide related deaths in bees. This comes out of a report on the health of bees in Oregon. And scientists of Oregon State University have found zero evidence of pesticide related bee deaths since 2021. And this has been work from many groups of people coming together to make sure that they solve this problem. Oregon State was charged with developing educational materials to pass out and help inform private sector businesses as well as professionals who with pesticides on how to do it in the best way in order to protect wildlife and bees. Then in 2018, it was even expanded with the Oregon Bee Project, which was an initiative aimed at handing out these education materials to as many as possible. Some 12,000 landscapers were trained to best understand the risks of pesticides to bees and other wildlife. They also compiled the Oregon B Atlas, the largest species inventory of bees in any state of the union, with scientific observations and information on all the species of bees and their territory. For gardeners and land managers, it translates the bee survey data into practical guidance which helps them with their plant picks as well as precise habitat decisions. This has just been an incredible outreach operation that has absolutely paid off since there has been no bee deaths in the past five years in Oregon. So it really shows what happens when, you know, the community comes together and really tries to do some good.

There is, yeah. So we have one more. And this is something I wish was made the news more because, you know, we. We hear so many bad things about candidates, but we have one about a Colorado mayor. His name is Mike Kaufman, and he slept at homeless shelters once a week for four months just to get an idea of how, you know, these homeless people live. But since then, he's come up with an idea. So he created a 600 person transitional housing facility. And the idea was to take these homeless people and advance them through a structured program of three tiers. So the first tier is a basic needs shelter for people just off the streets. Tier 2 offers semi private rooms for those utilizing addiction and recovery programs, mental health services and job training. So once they start getting on their feet, they start getting into these programs, they get into these other tier semi private rooms. Tier 3 provides individual rooms as transitional housing for those holding down full time job. And this whole goal is to get them from, instead of just being a shelter to put these homeless people a transitional piece that will take them from the streets and help them get, you know, clean or help and then get a job and then hopefully find their own place. So, you know, he, he put himself in other people's shoes and he saw what it was like and he figured out a, that, you know, there's better ways to do this and he's doing it so you know that. Shout out to mayor Mike Kaufman in Colorado.
