With Trump's voter suppression Save Act, Republicans should know by now that it ain't going to fly with us, with the courts or with the American people. I'll say it as many times as it takes. Trump's blatant effort to strip Americans of their voting rights is withering in the courts, too.

Oh, my gosh. I can't believe we are still watching these clips of these Democrats telling us that voter ID is racist and. And sexist. It's been about a year now that we've seen these. How are we still dealing with this? I've got a quick recap just in case you're wondering. Like me, the Save America act blasted through the House back in February, and then it smashed into a brick wall in the Senate where Democrats locked arms behind a filibuster. And when the bill finally got on the floor in June, Republicans just didn't have the 60 votes that they needed to break the filibuster. And send it to Trump. Trump's desk.

So they technically had the raw majority. It was like 57 people. Senators, I think. But to jam it through, they would have had to blow up the filibuster or twist the Senate rules in ways that a chunk of Republicans just weren't willing to gamble on, knowing that those moves would be weaponized against them the next time the Democrats controlled the chamber. So on paper, like the federal Save act is dead in the Senate, and

But instead of letting the issue die, Trump has turned it into a permanent pressure weapon and he's starting to veto or block unrelated bills. He's floated an executive order to force national voter ID and proof of citizenship before the midterms. And he's demanding that GOP leaders find a way to bolt the save style voter ID language onto something that's like a must pass, like a defense bill, a war bill, spending package, reconciliation bills. Now, circling back to the Voter ID is racist and sexist. There is one key problem with this narrative, and it's that people of color don't seem to think so. There's a CNN poll that illustrates this beautifully. We're going to drop it in right here for you.

Favorite photo ID to vote 85% of white people Favorite 82% of Latino, 76% of black Americans favorite. So the bottom line is this voter ID is not controversial in this country. A photo ID to vote is not controversial in this country. It is not controversial by party, and it is not controversial by race. The vast majority of Americans agree with Nicki Minaj that in fact, you should have a photo ID to be able to vote.

Now, honestly, at the risk of stating the obvious, you need ID to buy alcohol, you need ID to board a plane, you need ID to pick up a pen package. But the second that you say, hey, maybe you should show ID to pick the president, suddenly it's racist, it's sexist, and It's Jim Crow 2.0 according to Democrat politicians. Despite the fact that roughly 80% of Americans across race and gender say voter ID is common sense. And what's actually racist is the underlying assumption that black and brown Americans somehow can't handle the same basic paperwork that every adult deals with to obtain identification. And the rules are identical for everybody. But we're told that black and Latino voters specifically just can't navigate those rules, which literally implies that people of color are, what? Less competent, less organized, less intelligent than their white voter counterparts? I mean, come on, guys, on its Face, that's gross. And the data says it's false. A recent national survey found that about 94% of black Americans, and equally the same percentage of Latino adult Americans, already have a government photo ID. And they use their IDs to drive and to work and to travel and to pick up their kids. People of color, they're just like us. This is so stupid. It really is. And I've got one more for you. If voter ID is Jim Crow, then almost the entire free world is apparently running a secret white supremacist regime. Most European democracies, whether it's Germany or France or Spain or Italy or the Netherlands or the Nordic countries or the uk, require some form of government ID at the polls. Across Asia, you got democracies like India and South Korea and Taiwan and Indonesia and Japan. Guess what, team, they use voter cards or government IDs to verify who's voting. And it's the same throughout Latin America. Let me try to list them all. Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Uruguay. All of them rely on national ID cards or voter credentials as standard procedure. And it's just we are being pitted against each other for political power. It is obvious that these places are not fascistic hellscapes. They're functioning democracies that consider identity verification basic electoral hygiene. And meanwhile, here at home, we treat the same security measure that the rest of the world uses as some kind of hate crime. It's just, it's, it's obscene to be honest.

Check it, don't air it, period. And you know who's pulled this exact stunt before? Chavez down in Venezuela when he shut down the largest independent news network. Or Iran, who muzzles broadcasters. Or Russia and China that shutter dissenting news channels. I mean, this is the playbook of the world's most authoritarian regimes and its AOCs go to. Which sadly does not surprise me at all.

Doesn't matter what he does or says. Honestly, I don't know if it matters what AOC does or says when it comes to the Republican side. And all that this shows me is that Democrats don't believe Trump, Republicans don't believe aoc, and pretty much all of us. And I get that that's a sweeping generalization, but how about a heck of a lot of us on both sides have clearly lost faith in the entire election process. And I know the people on the right think that the left does not have a leg to stand on, but for the sake of everyone's sanity, the first step is understanding each other, especially when we disagree because it humanizes people, which makes conversation and negotiation possible. And guys, when it comes to restoring faith in our elections, this has got to happen. It's gotta happen. So I want you to appreciate where the left is coming from. The first always default right to Trump's pre game in 2020 where he tells the country if I lose, it's rigged. Not if evidence emerges. It's the loss itself that's the proof, right? And to Democrats, that's a rigged frame from the start. Any outcome where he doesn't win is automatically illegitimate. And then you got the post game where Trump's allies go on TV and they say that Dominion voting machines flipped votes and foreign governments hacked the results and the election was stolen. And Dominion doesn't just complain, they sued. And in a court, a judge ruled that the claims about Dominion were false, which becomes further confirmation for Dems that Trump was lying all along. And I could flip this again back the other way. Hillary Clinton called 2016 illegitimate for a year. She's still calling 2016 illegitimate, right? So both parties have their own denial playbook. But this is what I think should bother you the most. I've been told time and time again that the people in Washington on both sides of the aisle seem to get along fine behind closed doors. And here's an example for those of you who saw my interview with Nancy Mace. Do you remember when she talked about trying to subpoena Ilhan Omar's immigration records?

And both parties, Democrats and in particular Republicans, blocked that bill in order to protect Ilhan Omar. They find a way to get along with each other, but they send us to war with one another because they profit from it politically. Period. So the answer here, in my opinion, is not a partisan one. I don't want to sit here litigating which side is right and which side is wrong, because it's going to go nowhere. It's going to go nowhere. We just need to focus on a solution. And that means we've got to certify elections in a way that the majority of us can agree on. So I'm going to ask you to do me a favor. It's going to take you less than a minute. Write your representatives, go to Google and type in how do I write my senator or my representative. You're going to get a link on how to do that. You enter in your zip code, you find your rep and your senator, and you demand voter id, paper ballots with audit trails in every state, and a transparent, verifiable chain of custody for every vote counted. Three things bipartisan, and then there's no room left for either side to call foul. And that's something that we can build together, team, instead of going to war over it.

And then, of course, there's Zoran Mamdani, who said that he wants to give his love to The Holy Land 5, which is a group that went to jail for tax fraud, money laundering, and most importantly, funding terrorists. So, contrary to what Newsom said, here's what the DSA is actually promoting. Defunding the police, closing prisons, abolishing ice, opening borders. Instant amnesty for anybody who happens to be in the country illegally. They want to shrink the military. They want to leave NATO. They want to lift sanctions on authoritarian regimes, but ban anybody from their party who thinks that Israel has a right to exist. They call for abolishing the electoral college, replacing the presidency, abolishing the Supreme Court and abolishing the Senate to install alternative solutions that are subordinate to Congress, of course. I presume they would control. They want public ownership of major industries and a fundamental downgrade of private property rights, specifically for white people, of course. And if you don't believe me, you can go to their platform and you can read it for yourself. It's called Workers Deserve More. And right when you thought, or right when I thought, maybe I thought it. Maybe I thought that Newsom could not get any worse. This man appears to have no bottom.

What we're seeing are some of the lowest numbers that New York City has seen in recorded history, especially when it comes to murders and shootings. These are the lowest we've ever seen. And what I think is important to know is a lot of the increase in rape also comes from an expanded definition of what counts as rape, as well as survivors coming forward for acts that took place years prior.

Doran Mamdani, the guy that has advocated for defunding police and closing prisons, just tried to explain away a rise in New York City rapes by saying it's a definition problem. So when violent crime stats turn ugly, especially rape, his instinct is not to admit that less police and letting criminals out of prison might be a bad idea. His instinct is to tell you that the numbers are misleading. But if you're a New Yorker trying to decide whether you feel safe walking home at night. The distinction between a definition problem and a rate problem is not academic. And there are clips exploding across the Internet of furious New Yorkers who don't feel safe. I watched this woman last night on Instagram talking about how she doesn't feel she can walk around her neighborhood or take the train anymore without worrying about a stray bullet. You know what? I'm not even going to speak on her behalf. I'm going to find that clip. I'm going to drop it in right here. Just a moment.

You guys have been diminishing, downplaying these numbers. This is going back to, you know, the time that Bill de Blasio was in office. This is a democratic, you know, playbook. Make it give the appearance that crimes is low when the Bronx looks like a damn hellhole. When you go out there, you got to hope to God that you don't get hit with a stray bullet. You got to pray to God that you're not attacked by some savage with who's holding a knife. You got to hope and pray to God that you're not sexually assaulted just for taking a stroll on the street or walking along side, you know, a trail in the park. It is not safe in New York City. It's not. You can't even take the train anymore because now they're, they're, the criminals are so emboldened, they're roaming all over New York City and in these subways and they know that New Yorkers are easy prey because you know why? The law is on their side. And then more than half of them are unvetted illegals that came in under the Biden administration. Shame on all of you. Shame on you.

Then I'll be honest. What's even more remarkable and infuriating and mind boggling is that Mamdani is making this argument against the backd of Rupert Lowe's grooming gangs inquiry which argues that the systemic sexual abuse of 250,000 girls across Britain was driven in part by authorities failure to confront the ideological and cultural factors of radical Islam. The monsters behind these crimes literally used extremist religious justifications and they paraded their self proclaimed superiority in court. And they dehumanized all of those thousands of girls, calling them kaffirs, which means non believer. And of course they called them white trash. And what did the people in power do? Nothing. They sat on their hands for years to avoid being called Islamophobic while vulnerable kids were repeatedly victimized. It's sick. It is sick. And sadly the men in those grooming gangs are exactly the kind of people that Mamdani's hijra politics, which is the holy justification of mass Islamic migration. Well, that's what he wants to wave through America's front door. Okay, and I want to be clear. Yes, the vast majority of Muslims are wonderful, great people, but you have borders for a reason and cops for a reason and prisons for a reason. To keep the dangerous people out or in prison. And instead of opening his eyes to a crisis that has already ravaged the UK And Europe, Mamdani's the guy weaponizing the term Islamophobia and debating what actually counts as rape. It's disgraceful and it's dangerous, and we need to start calling it exactly what it is.

To his credit, there were moments of bipartisan agreement in these hearings. I know crazy. We didn't air them because there were so few. But Blanche acknowledged that the Justice Department did mishandle the Jeffrey Epstein files. He apologized to the survivors whose personal information was improperly disclosed. And he declared that the controversial $1.8 billion anti weaponization fund is likely dead. But here's the real issue, and even some of the Republicans are questioning Blanche's legal credentials, and they're wondering about the optics here, right? Can the president's former personal defense attorney credibly lead a Justice Department that's supposed to operate independently of the White House? And that's what senators like Thom Tillis and John Cornyn are pressing him on, Right? They want assurances that his loyalty is to the Constitution and the rule of law, not to the man who hired him. And ultimately, that is the question that matters most. These are some of the things that we should be focusing on, and it remains to be seen.

I love that you picked that one because I, you know, I'm sure you picked it, because I can relate to it, you know, having been the overweight kid in martial arts. It's people like this that change lives. And just that moment right there is probably going to put that little kid in a totally different headspace. That moment could change the trajectory of that little guy's life. Like teaching him to push through it, to grind it out, to find the strength, knowing that his teacher believes in him. That was given to me as a kid. It was something that I always tried to give to the people that I worked with. And you know what I love this is so shallow, but I feel like I really want to say it. It's like right now we're constantly being pulled into these, like, race baiting conversations. And they're disgusting and they're exhausting. And everyday people don't see it that way, man. You know, you've got this black man who's helping this young white kid and he's turning him into a man. And that's what we need to remember, is that we are all people. We're all here for each other. And, you know, don't fall for all of this, like, rage baiting, race baiting. It's all for clicks and views. Don't fall for it because this is what real Americans look like in that video. Absolutely. And as promised, we have some happy news from around the world. So I have two great stories for you guys this week. First one is that coffee. You know, it's not just something that keeps us running. It actually is associated with lower risks of liver cancer for people. There's a new study done by the Cedars Medical center, which studied hundreds of thousands of people. And it found that compared to non coffee drinkers, coffee drinkers had a 21% reduced risk of chronic liver disease, a 20% reduced risk of fatty liver disease, and a 49% reduced risk of death from chronic liver disease. If, you know, followed some 500,000 people age 40 to 69 for decades to do this. So this isn't just like a quick little study. This is something that has been good, like a study that's been going on for, you know, 10 years.

They could have also just followed me. Also. Also, it improves cognitive performance. It helps with people who are pre diabetic, it enhances athletic performance. I think it also is beneficial for pancreatic health. I would know this just to be clear. One caveat though, guys. Sorry, Fletcher, I didn't mean to step on your good news, but you walked right into my wheelhouse here. One caveat is that coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed crops in the world with pesticides besides herbicides and fungicides. I know it's expensive, but if you can buy organic coffee for home, maybe in bulk, and grind it yourself, it's gonna be a lot better for you. And if you're filtering it, don't use a bleached paper filter. In fact, buy a coffee maker that has a little mesh. Little mesh cone. I know, I took it over.

He built this platform by scratch after his parents were in an accident, Car accident, due to a pothole. It's called Project Sadiq and it is an app that allows users to take a picture of a pothole, use the GPS function to locate it in their area, and then post them both to the project server. And then AI will keep making sure it keeps following up because it actually alerts. So so far, 360 potholes have been reported and they are being repaired, which is amazing. I just want everyone to know. Yeah, it's little things like that. You know, it blows my mind every time I'm doing this research, but.
